Today, I discovered tools for pattern cutting. Although I’m still such a beginner that pattern making feels like black magic to me, I’m continuing to learn. Moving on from that last disaster—by the way, the Frida Kahlo jacket is still there in the corner, currently sleeveless. I tore off the sleeves and will redo them, but before that, I’ve dived into another world—the world of knitting.
Recently, I’ve become a passionate viewer of video tutorials of all kinds. One of the best I’ve found, without falling too far down the rabbit hole of Domestika, has been on jacket cutting. I’ve learned a lot from that, and now I’m watching Design and Creation of Seamless Knitwear with Circular Needles. I’m working on my first simple circular sweater-dress, which I plan to wear during those cold, miserable autumn days.
Someone might say, “Autumn is here, girl!” Yes, indeed—so I’ll clarify—on those cold autumn days. The explanations in the course are so good that I’m already halfway done with my knitting.
